Here's the list of world's best-selling cars as of 2015 according to www.forbes.com

1. TOYOTA COROLLA
Natural disasters hurt Japanese carmakers, but the Toyota Corolla remains the best-selling car in the world, with 1.02 million copies sold.

2. HYUNDAI ELANTRA The Hyundai Elantra, also known as the avante in Korea, is closing in Corolla, with 1.01 million copies sold.

3. WULING SUNSHINE The Wulling Sunshine, made by GM Joint venture is the most ubiquitous vehicle in China, Used to transport people and goods. About 943,000 were sold in 2011.

4.FORD FOCUS The new Ford Focus, now virtually the same in the markets around the world. is part of the U.S. carmaker's "One Ford" global strategy. Ford sold 919,000 of them in 2015.

5. KIA RIO The Kia Rio was recently redesigned for the U.S. and other developed markets, but an older version sold in Iran makes up more than 500,000 of the cars 815,337 in global sales.

6. FORD FIESTA The Ford Fiesta led the way in Ford's new global development strategy. Ford sold 781,147 Fiestats in 2011.

7. VOLKSWAGEN JETTA The popularity of the Volkswagen Jetta, with about 745,000 units sold worlwide, is part of VW's plan to become the largest global automaker in 2018.

8. TOYOTA CAMRY The Toyota Camry, America's best-selling car, is also popular worldwide, with 726,000 sold.

9. CHEVROLET CRUZE The new Chevrolet Cruze from General Motors is enjoying strong sales in numerous countries, not just in the U.S. As worldwide production ramped up, Cruze sales nearly doubled to 691,000 in 2011.

10. VOLKSWAGEN GOLF The Volkswagen Golf, a perennial top seller worldwide, is one of the three VW cars that are driving VW's push to become the world's largest automaker by 2018. VW sold 648,000 Golfs this year.

11. VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT The redesigned Volkswagen Passat, with 565,000 copies sold worldwide, is built at a new factory in Chattanooga, Tenn.

12. HONDA CIVIC Worldwide sales of the redesigned Honda Civic fell 12.5 percent, to 555,000 this year because of natural disasters and ho-hun reviews. But it's still one of the most popular car on the planet.
